About Me

Hi, I’m Natasha! Welcome to my corner!
I’m a pediatric speech and language therapist and early childhood specialist who has dedicated nearly a decade to supporting children and families on their developmental journeys. Originally from Malta, I now call the Netherlands my home, where I continue to pursue my love for helping children thrive and reach their full potential.

My Story

My path in child development began in 2016 when I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Communication Therapy from the University of Malta. Driven by a desire to deepen my expertise, I went on to earn my Master’s in Language and Communication Impairment in Children from the University of Sheffield in 2021.

For six years in Malta, I worked as an Early Intervention Specialist, supporting children aged 0-5 and their families. My experience rangeed from developmental delays to neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism and ADHD and various genetic syndromes. During this time, I also ran my own private speech therapy practice, working closely with families to assess and create personalized intervention plans.

In 2022, I made the exciting move to the Netherlands, where I’ve continued my mission in new settings. I’ve worked as a speech and language therapist in international schools and most recently as a childcare teacher.

What Drives Me

Children are my greatest source of energy and joy. There’s nothing quite like witnessing a child’s “lightbulb moment” or seeing them gain confidence in their abilities. I believe every child is unique, and my approach reflects that – I immerse myself completely in each child’s world, working with their interests, their environment, and their natural strengths.

My philosophy centers on holistic development. Rather than focusing on isolated skills, I look at the whole child – their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development – and how these areas interconnect. Whether I’m using arts and crafts, favorite toys, or simply following a child’s lead during play, I create meaningful learning experiences that feel natural and fun.

My Approach

I’m passionate about working not just with children, but with their entire support network. Parents, teachers, and caregivers are essential partners in a child’s development, and I love collaborating to ensure everyone feels confident and equipped to support their child’s growth. From home visits to school consultations, I adapt my approach to meet families where they are.

Having worked across different cultures and languages, I understand the unique considerations that come with supporting multilingual families and children from diverse backgrounds.

Beyond My Work

When I’m not working with children and families, I’m embracing life as a mother myself – an experience that has deepened my understanding of child development from a beautifully personal perspective. I find joy and renewal in spending time in nature, walking and fitness. I’m passionate about exploring new ways of expressing myself through art, music, and dance – forms of creativity that remind me daily of the importance of self-expression and joy in learning.

I strongly believe that one can never know enough which is why I try my best to engage in continuous professional development. I’ve completed numerous trainings in speech and language approaches and interventions and other areas such as sensory integration, autism support approaches, early physical development and challenging behavior management. This commitment to ongoing education ensures I’m always bringing the latest evidence-based practices to my work.
